Passing Marks & Important Notes
Students must score minimum 33% marks in each subject and 33% overall to pass. Those who fail in one or more subjects can appear for compartment exams, typically held within a few weeks after results. With the new two-exam system, Class 10 students can also attempt the second board exam to improve scores.
The online result is provisional — original marksheets and passing certificates are issued later through schools. Keep your admit card safe as you need the roll number and date of birth to check results.
For Class 12 students, board marks determine eligibility for JEE, NEET, CUET, and scholarships like MYSY Scholarship Gujarat (requires 80%+ in 12th for tuition and hostel fee coverage).
